In-School Programs: Spotlight On Elevo School Day

By Maya Rahman-Rios, Elevo, Manager, Communications

At Elevo, we understand the power of structured play time for students. We created Elevo School Day to support students and educators alike, during recess, lunch, and PLC or professional development release time, creating time for teachers to refocus. Here’s everything you need to know about our staffing support solution.

What is Elevo School Day?

Elevo School Day features our Lunch/Recess and PLC/PD Release programming, both of which leverage our EQ (SEL-infused physical activities) and our Sport (Rotational Sports) curriculum modules to provide structured activities that engage students and support their physical and mental well-being.

With Elevo School Day, Districts have multiple programming options. We can provide our rotational sports curriculum, which includes everything from basketball and soccer to tennis and cheer, and offers students the ability to showcase their skills through tournaments and other culminating events. We can also provide our SEL-infused physical activities and games, which offer structured activities that engage students and support both their physical and mental well-being.

For districts looking for an alternative to physical activities, we can provide arts and music activities programming during PLC/PD Release to support Prop 28.

Our Recess Programming

For our recess programs, we hire and train a minimum of two coaches to oversee morning and/or afternoon recess, depending on your district’s needs. We can also customize each program to focus on specific students and grade levels. Students engage in SEL-infused physical activities and games or our rotational sports curriculum, as well as practice daily mindfulness and growth mindset exercises. Any equipment needed will be provided by our coaches so that your educators can focus on re-energizing.

Our PLC/PD Grade-Level Release Programming

When building grade-level release programs, we collaborate with your district to map out a schedule for participating schools, so that all teachers are able to have access to our support. Each grade level is released on an hourly rotation throughout the day, and students will have three to four coaches to oversee one grade level per hour.

Much like our recess programming, we can customize each program to focus on specific students and grade levels. Students will also participate in a similar lineup of SEL-infused activities, rotational sports, and mindfulness practices. Again, we will provide all necessary equipment for easy setup.
