Ever wish learning could be more… fun? We all have those mandatory e-learnings that, let’s be real, may sometimes feel like homework. But what if learning could be exciting and beneficial both personally and professionally? Our Learning & Development Team here at Elevo sets out to do just that!
This month, Elevo is launching the optional February Learning Challenge, focused on Health and Wellness. This challenge will gamify the learning experience and make it engaging for everyone!
How will it work?
We’ve planned out an entire month of wellness activities and learnings that boost balance – and did we mention these take less than 10 minutes to complete daily? We know life’s busy! Whether it’s understanding the six triggers of burnout, practicing box breathing techniques, or scheduling time to take a walk or stretch break, each task is designed to help everyone thrive. Small steps, big changes!
But wait – there’s more!
For each challenge completed, learners will earn a learning badge worth 5 points that they can track on the leaderboard to see how they compare with others! This promotes friendly competition and accountability, all in the spirit of good fun and learning. Rumor has it, there may even be a special kudos for the Top Learner!
What’s the goal?
First and foremost, we want to make learning fun while motivating everyone to thrive in both their personal and professional wellness. Furthermore, this challenge is also designed to help learners become more comfortable using LinkedIn Learning. Did you know everyone at Elevo has access to a free LinkedIn Learning account? We want our learners to take full advantage of that!
As learners gain confidence using the LinkedIn Learning platform through the daily Learning Challenge videos, we hope they will eventually explore topics that align with their personal interests. We call this self-directed learning, which supports personal development and lifelong growth.
Speaking of lifelong growth, personal development isn’t just about learning new skills – it’s also about embracing a culture of continuous learning. That’s why professional development (PD) is a priority at Elevo. Our Winter PD Week is just one example of how we foster ongoing learning. (You can read more about it in our Winter Workshop PD Week blog post!)
Ultimately, by becoming more familiar with LinkedIn Learning and creating a gamified learning experience, we hope to foster a culture around learning that is engaging, continuous, and fun!
Picture this: February ends. You’ve completed the Learning Challenge, armed with new learnings, a renewed sense of wellness, and a hunger to keep the momentum going. You browse your LinkedIn Learning library while awaiting the next challenge and stumble across a new topic that sparks your curiosity. You spend the first five minutes of your day leisurely learning about said topic while sipping your morning coffee.
That’s the learning culture we aim to create at Elevo. One that doesn’t make learning feel like homework, but that makes learning feel personal and engaging to you both inside and outside of the office.
We can’t wait to launch this challenge and see how everyone improves their health and wellness while leveling up their learning experience, one learning at a time!
