Elevo WASC Accreditation 2025

By Dr. Kristen Henry, Vice President, Curriculum & Training

Elevo is delighted to announce that we have been re-accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This prestigious accreditation underscores Elevo’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality programs and our continuous pursuit of excellence. We are proud to be recognized among the institutions that uphold these standards.

The WASC accreditation process is rigorous, aiming to ensure that accredited institutions are mission-driven, well-managed, and deliver high-quality, student-centered programs with measurable outcomes, while fostering inclusive cultures built on trust and equity. The WASC Commission, which is comprised of educational leaders including members from California Department of Education (CDE), Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), and California School Boards Association (CSBA), found that Elevo met the highest standards of excellence.

Through the comprehensive WASC self-study process, Elevo staff reviewed artifacts of, and evidence of the significant efforts made since our initial accreditation in 2022. Since that time, Elevo has expanded and refined our curricular and program offerings exponentially; all in service to our mission to transform student well-being.

Features highlighted in the assessment process included but were not limited to:

  • Design and delivery of suite of STEAM, Sport, and VAPA Curriculum.
  • Development and implementation of systematic training and professional development of our coach educators.
  • Integration of evidence based and high impact practice, aligned with the Science of Learning and Development (SoLD), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Restorative Practices, and Culturally Responsive Teaching.
  • Development and adoption of formal continuous quality improvement systems and practices.

We would like to thank the WASC Commission for both their commitment to quality and for recognizing the same commitment in the curriculum and programs that Elevo. We will continue to reflect on the insight gained from this process. Moving forward, this experience will remain an integral part of Elevo’s commitment to continued growth and impact on the students and communities we serve.
